Since the inception of Government Degree College, Rapur , the Department of History has been functioning as one of the core departments. The Department follows the curriculum approved by the Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati and now Vikrama Simhapuri University, Nellore. The Department has endeavored to enlighten the students with a deep knowledge about the history of ancient, medieval and modern India and world in general, and Andhra Pradesh in particular. In its remarkable journey, the Department has been offering Undergraduate courses with great success.
