History - Vision & Mission
MISSION AND VISION:
In every sphere of human life, there is found to be a mission before it. Our Department has also a mission before it. It aspires to bring the benefit of our age-old knowledge domain to the day to day life of students and society in general.
FACILITIES:
The Department of History has well furnished classrooms for the B.A classes. A few of the classrooms are equipped with ICT tools.
The Department has a rich library with a total of 1206 books, journals and periodicals etc. Most of the resources are related to the courses taught by the Department, but the departmental library also holds a rich corpus of reference and scholarly resources as well.
The Department of History is also planning to bring a gamut of relevant e-resources closer to the learners from the current academic session.
STRENGTH:

➢ A rich library comprising textbooks, reference books along with journals and periodicals.
➢ E-learning support provided whenever needed.
➢ Strong student-teacher relations, mentoring etc.
➢ Regular Interactive sessions with learned scholars from the History faculty across South India.
➢ Imparting knowledge through holistic concepts and simultaneously giving practical implications through regular spot surveys, excursions etc.
➢ Forum for co-curricular activities.
OPPORTUNITIES:
• Increasing growth of enrollment in the subject is encouraging.
• Preferred avenue for civil service, State Services like APPSC, Police Department and other allied services along with vocational demands in tourism sector, Archaeological sector.
